ice boxing for amz. iphone from an amazon locker - howlongcanipretend - 08-06-2021 I decided it might be a good idea to check if this is the appropriate method for the circumstance. For reference my account is aged, has been more than sufficient spacing of time and orders between now and last SE (6 orders, 4 over 25 dollars over ~2 months) I'm going to try using boxing with dry ice with this item. I don't see how using an amazon locker would have any impact on the SE considering there is no SE until I have initiated the return, but just checking... The combined weight will definitely be over 200 g, due to the weight of the iphone packaging (I have a scale to find the weight precisely once I receive it), so no real chance of executing the missing item method. Anyways, sorry for the prolix nature of my thread, and thanks in advance for any comments/thoughts/suggestions. This seems like a stupid question, but would they expect the weight of the iphone by itself or the iphone + the packaging it was sent with (it did come with a USB charger and a box after all, which significantly increased the weight)? In this case, boxing works either way. You can return an empty package (the box & the phone/accessories were missing), or return the package with the empty box Inside - meaning only the Phone (and If you prefer Its accessories) were missing. I'm asking since I'm not sure about the weight of dry ice I should add. From what you're saying it seems to imply that it's expected that I return not only the phone which I claimed I had taken out and found to be defective, but also the box and accompanying accessories, rather than just the phone by itself. Both seem reasonable, although I can't really see there being two possible weights which wouldn't arouse suspicion. I don't want to return anything (box accessories) since I plan to resell it. As for the Item alone, It's the net weight that's of relevance. Be sure to calculate the weight of the dry Ice, by allowing enough time for storage and transit. RE: ice boxing for amz. iphone from an amazon locker - Jay875 - 09-09-2021 Don't return it via Amazon locker pretty sure that the lockers record the weight. It will be sitting in there too long and they will know what's up. Return via UPS instead and if they don't give you a label pack an empty box yourself tape it up and let them slap a label on it. RE: ice boxing for amz. iphone from an amazon locker - mothered - 09-10-2021 @howlongcanipretend, any updates with the SE? Both the place where I get dry ice from and the USPS close incredibly early for my schedule + it takes about an hour and 20 minutes to go to and back. It keeps sublimating before I have time to go and and submit the package. Already wasted way too much money and time on this method, will probably just do FTID again.
