Do i need to buy an operating system? - ThomasEngine - 07-03-2021
I’m building a gaming computer using a case with no optical drive. I know I’m going to need to install windows, but how am I supposed to do it? What is the difference between BUYING a usb with Windows 10 and downloading the tool on a personal USB for free?? https://showbox.tools/

I have many OSes hosted on one of my blogs, all of which come In a bootable ISO file and are either pre-activated, or the activator Itself Is Included In the download.

all linux distributions are free to use. its because they are open scource.
if you wanna do the same with windows and download and install, you first have to buy a license for it,
since windows is protected by copyright and is what is usually called 'proprietary software'.

My Windows OSes either have the activator embedded, or It comes as a separate tool. They're no different to a genuine copy, but obviously free.

I honestly haven't a clue how much a license would cost xD I just refuse to pay it. I suspect Windows makes more money off businesses than individual users, anyway.

In all my years of computing, I've never paid a single dime for any OS/software.
I'm sure I've technically paid for it via the purchase of a new laptop (I suspect windows must be included in the cost of the laptop somewhere). Other than that, I don't think I've ever paid for windows either. However, I have paid for Microsoft office. It was a lifetime key for the professional edition and it cost $20. I can't say I minded paying that.

A lot of vendors/developers sell their products at a ridiculous cost and/or require a monthly or annual subscription, which are just a couple of reasons why I refuse to purchase software. For Instance, checkout the price of AutoCad. No one In their right mind would think It's justified.

Mind you, I recently cracked the 2022 version. For some reason, AutoCad releases their versions In March dated for the following year.
