Easiest company to SE SSD drive and/or RAM (aside from Amazon) - nk2333 - 06-13-2021

Trying not to overdo SE-ing Amazon. Was wondering if anyone can suggest which company would be the easiest to SE an SSD drive or computer memory. The cost would be under $100.

Also, thinking of the DNA method but if there's an easier method then I would appreciate suggestions.
Thanks

I would recommend SEing walmart or target as they are as easy as amazon for refunding. Though, I've heard that walmart is starting cross-check their products and rebilling individuals who claimed the package defective, lost, dna, etc. So be very wary of that (I recommend removing your card after refund). From my experience, the only time I refunded ram was from newegg. I just simply claimed that the ram was missing within the package - as well as mentioning the parcel is intact . They asked me for a picture, I simply complied with what they've asked and sent them a photo of the ram package with both of the rams taken out. And boom, easy refund. This was a year ago, meaning I have no idea if they have changed their refunding policies and protocols - so don't completely take my word on it.

To add on, if you are planning on using the "empty box method" or the items were "missing from the package" - make sure the items do not weigh over 120 grams as @mothered states. If the item weighs more than 120 grams it can register as weight on consignment and therefore can be proven that your item is in fact there.

Further to the above post, what's the precise weight of both the SSD and Ram?

They are about 0.35 ounces each.

I checked target and walmart. They mostly seem to have it through 3rd party sellers. Not sure if it matters or makes things harder. I would assume it would be easier to SE if it were sold through Target/Walmart themselves.

I would 100% recommend that they are shipped by the actual company as they are easier to SE. For example, this product is shipped and sold by newegg: https://bit.ly/35iVaGm

10 grams will not be detected at the carrier's weighing facilities, hence perfect for the missing Item method.

Be sure the company you're planning to SE, does not have CCTV cameras In operation.

Sooo.. I ended up ordering from Amazon after all , mostly for logistical reasons (really needed it fast). I had a 5 year old account that I haven't used in a long while and ordered it using a free prime trial . I think after this, i'll take a break from SE-ing Amazon for a few weeks.
Anyways... I'm planning on using the missing item manufacturer error. Any tips would be appreciated

Take a break from amazon for a little more time not a few weeks. Amazon keeps track of what accounts are associated with you. This can be verified by your IP address, using the same house address, card, and email. When making purchases try to buy a few legitimate orders to make your profile look like a normal customer.

From what I heard, amazon starts to take actions when too many refunds occur - when they suspect that you are refunding more than usual. They'll probably warn you at first, but if continued, they will take further actions by either blacklisting your address or banning your account. Keep in mind that using the same method for amazon can be highly suspicious as repeated reoccurrence of the same method is unlikely to occur.

To add on, I've heard that amazon keeps users who are making them money. For example, if you have more refunds on big orders than small ones, they are losing money from you - hence making them lose overall profit. They will warn you at first but will take action once it happens again - which is why you should make a few legitimate orders in between your refunds (to minimize some of their loss)!

On a side note, if you do indeed want to SE again, you have many other alternatives other than amazon! You have Walmart, Target, Newegg, Costco, and many others. All of the big companies value customer satisfaction - making it possible to refund high valued items! Think about it, without respecting your customers, your store will simply not be successful. The happier the customers the better.

I will end this with a statement by saying that you should always explore many other stores other than amazon! This will help you exceed in the world of SE. The more experience you have the better you'll get at executing your SE's!

Hope this helps, have a nice day.

First and foremost, Is the box fully covered In cardboard, whereby the Item Is not visible externally?

In terms of the method Itself, there's only one way It can be used- by simply saying that you opened the box, and the Item was not enclosed.
