Is fascism on the rise in Europe? - d4ggm4sk - 05-24-2021 To top this off as world news. In the country Hungary, an Uber-nationalistic party jobbik has won a landslide of the votes. Clocking in at roughly 15% of the votes, the most surprising thing is that another far right party in the country called Fidez, has won over almost 40% of the countrys votes. And now they have wiped the floor with the socialists and liberals, these two inherently racists parties ruling the country with their own majority. And similar things have happened in many European countries. Should we be worried? In greece, Golden Dawn is calling for ethnic cleansing and going to war with several neighbouring countries, including Turkey. As a form of revenge against the former centuries occupation and reshaping the old pan-greece. In my country where I live, Sweden, the right wing parties have gone from being completely liberal into forming a new conservative allience. They are competing for who can have the toughest anti-immigration policies. I mean, should I be worried about this? Is Europe, as we know it, falling into the hands of greedy capitalists and authoritarians, in sheeps clothing? Are we heading for some form of mass-survelliance police state with authoritarianism? Maybe immigration was a ploy by authoritarian right wingers, so they could scare the populace, and then throw them out? I still miss the pirate party, formed in sweden, but sadly, they have lost their cause to silly-willy liberals who just care about legalizing pot and everything else and they are today 100% irrelevant for me. I mean, as I sit and feel a sense of anger, spill my drink on the wedges face, I want it to mean something. This little act of cruelty must have a cause. But I still feel a sense of dissapointment in this existence. There needs to be something beautiful to destroy. But in the end, nothing means anything. We are living in a decadent nihilism, and the devils play the cards.
RE: Is fascism on the rise in Europe? - fritz - 05-24-2021 I don't want to sound even more pessimistic, but that's not only in Europe, look at Bolsonaro and Trump for example... Although we could be a bit hopeful seeing they didn't stay long ! People are tired of useless politics, extremism is often the more attractive alternative I guess RE: Is fascism on the rise in Europe? - d4ggm4sk - 05-24-2021 (05-24-2021, 09:01 PM)fritz Wrote: I don't want to sound even more pessimistic, but that's not only in Europe, look at Bolsonaro and Trump for example... Yeah, I think theres many of these people today who just feel subjugated by societys slavery, and who finds a rush in right wing extremism, inequality and hierarchial structures, in the same way that people get tired of being high status and having people kiss there asses all the time, that get a rush from dominating weaker prey in bdsm. Like 'you cant do shit, im not a dom but FUCKING BEND OVER, BITCH FAKE AS DOM'. You still support modern day slavery by buying Chinese goods that were created in a Uyghur camp based in china, made up of Enslaved Muslim Children & Women. RE: Is fascism on the rise in Europe? - Drako - 05-25-2021 It seems like nobody can get their definitions right when it comes to Fascism and Nazism. Fascism is not Nazism; They're two similar ideologies, but they're not the same thing. They're both nationalist ideologies, but Nazism focused much more on race as its core value. I'm not well versed in modern European politics, but from what I can gather the Fidesz first came to power in 1998. And the majority of parliament seats in Hungary are held by right and far-right political parties. Hungary has been right-leaning for decades now. And in Greece, the Golden Dawn has been deemed a criminal organization and has no seats in Greek parliament. And to be clear, nations both right and left can be authoritarian/surveillance states. Is this what you want then? A fascist EU? How the hell do you think the world would end if all countries became fascist? Maybe you are a little fascist schoolgirl. I think you should have to live in a fascist prison for ten days just to truly be educated by how it is to live in a dictatorship.
