Smartphone from amazon - BottleCap - 05-04-2021

Hey guys. I have bought a 1000$ phone from amazon and planning on returning it by using the sealed box method. Its supposed to be delivered today. Is there anything i should look out for? I am just planning on removing the seal carefully and put random crap in to match the weight. If this is not found is it an instant refund?

The way you've explained It, Is precisely how the sealed box method works.

The objective Is to not show signs of tampering and when they receive your return, they'll assume It's the real deal and place It back Into stock. A refund will be Issued thereafter.

Not at all.

Another buyer will purchase your return at some point In the future, but given the Item was picked, packed, dispatched, returned and purchased, It's very difficult to relate the Issue back to you. Moreover, who's to say the buyer Isn't doing what you did- SE with the same method? As such, you're In the clear.

It's not the method that's of concern, but rather the events that take place, such as an AR (Advanced Replacement) and prevent accounts being locked by (for example) Amazon.

If you a refund on smartphone using DNA, will using the "missing" iphone triggers anything or notify apple or amazon and make you in trouble?

if you’re trying to SE an iphone you can most definitely bet that Amazon/Seller will deactivate it using the SN.

The IMEI may be placed In a pool of blacklisted numbers, whereby If you try to activate It with a given phone carrier, It will be flagged and declined.

I'm not suggesting It will happen, but rather outlining the possibility In answer to your question.
