How to ship something heavy and bulky from US to EU as cheap as possible? - holio2k - 04-25-2021
I’m about SE to a big monitor that is located in the United States with a retail value over 10k USD. I have several drops I can use. The problem is I want it shipped to EU as cheap as possible and avoid customs fees and extra VAT and other crap they come up with.
I have been reading and investigating this a bit. To my understanding the best options would be to ship it with UPS or DHL and declare the value as low as example and put item description as a gift to avoid the customs fee. This would only work if it’s beeing shipped from a person in the US and another person in the receiving country in the EU.
Anyone have any experience with stuff like this?

if you declare it as a 500 usd tv you will pay tax 19% i think so like 100 usd which is not so much
