Being part Cuban, we used to always joke "is Fidel dead yet?" It seems his brother has stepped down, which may allow progress for the country.

well reforming the country could take a lot of time. one successful example where a country has been able reform itself from communism(atleast to an extent) is vietnam.

You'll see similar situations in South America, of colonialism then civil war/power struggles. One can only hope that the right people end up in power.

Would love to see this country turn into a nation of peace and freedom. Hopefully this means good things are on the way for Cuba
