SEing a mountain bike? - Lurk - 02-20-2021

So, I need a new bike, preferably a new one.

Plan:
1. Order from halfords UK to my house, bike comes pre built but unsure what issues this may come with.
2. Leave a note on the door saying "gone shopping, leave with neighbour"
3. They leave it with neighbour, then I make a claim with halfords saying I never received it.

Any better ideas?/Any flaws in this?

It's not good practice to get your neighbor Involved.

Given the nature of the SE, namely using the DNA, an Investigation Is almost a certainty and both yourself and the neighbor will be Included. A police report may also be required to proceed with the claim. As such, It will unnecessarily complicate the SE.

Def a tough one. Personally, I'd DNA/PEB the bike parts and build it up from scratch, or DNA/PEB an expensive item that is small and sell it. Then use the funds to buy the bike.

@Lurk, any developments with the SE?
