Un-Wonder Woman - Twenty-Two - 12-31-2020 This has to be one of the worst movies of 2020. I waited patiently for this movie to release and I was dismayed by what I saw. The action is dull, the acting is wooden and dialogue sounds like it was written by a first time writer. If you dote clichés this is your movie. It is filled with them and you just have to roll your eyes. Superman v Batman is far more superior than this movie. Director Patty Jenkins authentically dropped the ball. The first movie was so much preponderant. What blows my mind is that the movie was directed by the same person who directed the first one. I cerebrate it was the right decision to split the relinquishment between digital and theatrical because it was not going to make its profit back just by doing a theatrical release, let alone on demand. I do not recommend this movie. I would exhort you wait until it is free on the television in about a year. It is that deplorable. It pains me to be so critical of Wonder Woman because I am a huge fan, however, I am not a fan of a director who cannot even make a decent sequel. This is identically tantamount director who is going to direct Star Wars: Rogue Squadron in 2023. If you dote Gal Gadot check this movie out, other than that this is a hard pass. RE: Un-Wonder Woman - Jiggly - 12-31-2020 I've heard some serious negativity around this film and am really surprised it's done so poorly. In this age of people complaining about everything, it's hard to know if a negative review is going to be close to my own experience with a film. However, I feel your review is consistent with others that I've read. What a shame, when the trailers looked rather exciting (don't they always looks good for bad films? xD) RE: Un-Wonder Woman - Oni - 12-31-2020 Guess I won't be missing out by giving it a skip. A shame, as the origins of her creation are really interesting. RE: Un-Wonder Woman - Twenty-Two - 12-31-2020 (12-31-2020, 04:42 PM)Oni Wrote: Guess I won't be missing out by giving it a skip. A plethora of movies out there with more negative reviews than positive reviews, and with low ratings, but I enjoyed them. After reading that, everything about Wonder Woman is bizarre. Even the more modern takes. RE: Un-Wonder Woman - taptap - 01-01-2021 So I would not say that it is the worst movie of the year. That being said it has a decent opening and some great scenes but overall it has a lackluster storyline and terrible CGI makes it not that great of a watch. Even though it is free on HBO max. RE: Un-Wonder Woman - mothered - 01-01-2021 I loved the original TV series with Lynda Carter back In the 70s. Personally, I don't enjoy remakes of any movie. I suppose It's because I compare them to the original and disappointed thereafter. |
