Suggestion for the SE section - Green314 - 11-23-2020 I would suggest to use a single thread for each company, if you want to SE a company write it on the proper thread, if there isn't then you can create one. It will be also useful in the future for those who want to SE that particular company, they will find every information inside it and not on 30 separated threads. For instance, it's useless to have hundreds of threads about amazon, Zalando etc.. I volunteer to merge a large amount of threads if necessary. I would like to hear also the opinion of the most active users of the section. Thank you. RE: Suggestion for the SE section - Green314 - 11-25-2020 Perhaps this thread eluded your accurate eye @mothered. RE: Suggestion for the SE section - mothered - 11-25-2020 Just to clarify things, are you suggesting to have one thread per company and everyone posts their questions and concerns In the respective thread? Exactly. There may be quite some benefits to adapt this system. Don't you think? But, don't you think that the current way of handle the different threads and situation is inefficient? Users create new threads for particular companies even if those threads already exist. Okay there is always a different scenario, but with a single company is (generally) the same, the SEs are different from each other depending on the company you SE. Just to make an example, for amazon we have 65 pages of listed threads. https://sinister.ly/search.php?action=results&sid=0cd9e2be1d4d809a44468693d7518408&sortby=lastpost&order=desc. Each case is different? I don't think so. And every week you can still see people asking questions about the company, 90% of the cases those questions are already been answered. 3 days ago I was looking for SEing a company, I searched on the forum if there were already existed threads to read, there were around 3 pages of different threads, almost 10 threads were talking about the usage of the "disposed faulty item" so I had to read one for one and read always the same scenario, while If there had been a single thread (or a few of them based on the method used to SEE) perhaps the user would have just read the entire thread and that's it instead of creating a new one asking almost the same questions. But please if I'm wrong correct me. I agree. It seems like a good idea in principle but on paper would be a nightmare. You would have endless threads and have to look through endless pages to find out any information. It'll become cluttered, and extremely hard to chronologically Identify and establish the series of events that have taken place between all members. |
