Amazon | What should I do now? - TheKingler - 11-15-2020

So basically I'm trying to refund this thing from 6 months saying it doesn't work properly because of the cables.

Now he said you can send it back and you will get a free replacement but is there any way for me to keep it and get the cash back?

You can try sending them dry ice

Wait for it to go out of stock and then contact them again, they'll be left with no choice but to issue a refund instead.

Or, go for the direct approach. Tell them you already purchased it elsewhere as you needed a replacement urgently. Tell amazon you would "rather return it for a refund instead".

But ive already requested to send it back. Should i cancel the return and then just message them again saying i already purchased it elsewhere or will that be too obvious

How much is the item?

Don't cancel anything. Simply send it off and request for a refund instead, stating what I mentioned above.

The item is like 90$.
What do you mean by send it off?

They are rn waiting for me to send the item back so I can get a refund.
In the chat with the support before i just mentioned it was broken I didnt mention I bought a new one.

The guy send me a email with the returning label and now I can either cancle to send it back or just send it back in order to get a refund.

So what you are basically saying is to start another support chat mentioning that I bought a new one already to get a refund.
But wouldnt they just check the old support chat wondering why i didnt mention that i got a new one?

Can't you simply box them? What is the problem?

RE: Amazon | What should I do now? - Roadman - 11-15-2020

Amazon won't check your previous chat. If they do, you can say you forgot to mention you purchased a new one.

If you want to keep the item and not give it away, as mentioned above just box them. For a $90 item you will be sure to receive your refund.

After you have either boxed them or sent the actual item back, you then need to email amazon with the tracking number and mention you would like a refund.

Use the label they already sent you.

Its really simple. Don't stress too much. Good luck.

Copied and pasted from my other post:

Just send an empty box/package back yourself. I honestly wouldn't waste any money paying somebody. That being said, If someone on this forum has a service, please do let us know by replying.

If you have Adobe acrobat you can edit the label to remove identifiable details such as names, order reference numbers etc. which will make the boxing a lot easier.

If you don't have Adobe Acrobat it's fine, just slap the label on the empty package and send it.
