Surface Pro double dip - randylahey586 - 11-09-2020 My Surface Pro 5 died recently and I just had an idea. If I go to Best Buy and buy a Surface Pro 7 I can swap and return the broken one since they are exactly the same size and design. But before I return it, call Microsoft customer service and say that my battery started to bulge out. There are plenty of pictures on google images I can provide them if they ask for proof. That way I have a legit serial number and receipt I can provide them plus they cant ask me to ship it back since its a hazard. In theory if this works I will end up with 2 new Surface Pros Do you guys think this will work? Thanks, that's a good point on the carrier. Gonna give it a shot one of these days RE: Surface Pro double dip - mothered - 11-09-2020 (11-09-2020, 07:56 AM)randylahey586 Wrote:You're welcome.(11-09-2020, 07:50 AM)mothered Wrote:Quote:If I go to Best Buy and buy a Surface Pro 7 I can swap and return the broken one since they are exactly the same size and designThey may check the return, so use the sealed box method. You've formulated a very good approach, It just needs a little fine-tuning. |
