I've been using keygens since the year 2000, and clearly remember cracking the good old bloated Norton SystemWorks 2000 and also Norton Antivirus 2001. My favorite reverse engineers are CORE (Challenge Of Reverse Engineering), Edge and Black Riders.

i´ve loved C.O.R.E. when i was in high school a years ago.
they have a lot of releases.

the first program from them that i´ve used was TuneUp Utilities 2010.
later, i won a license from Softonic for 2011 

i do not remember well what software i was using with a BRD KG, i think it was WinZip

don´t worry... just take your time.
you will learn anything you want... and also the time will delete some knowledges (the brain sometimes "keeps in a drawer" some learned things)
it's a matter of being persistent, at least from time to time. i learned python recently, doing it little by little, at my own pace.
