I have a 6 core i7 that clocks up to around 4.0ghz in a windows laptop and i could still play games and do other stuff online while mining. it looked pretty good about not letting the cpu throttle above like 80%. I did stop using it due to the fact that no matter what I tried, I couldn't get my gpu to start mining. I had it turned on in the settings, all drivers up to date, nothing. Pretty confident the card is capable of mining (maybe the program thought that the card wasn't new/powerful enough to mine?). They do sell access to their gpu's for mining which i thought was kind of cool. something like $99 for 3 months access to 25MH/s mining speed on one of their gpu's. Maybe someone who knows more than me could explain if that could be profitable or not? Free and easy! A newer cpu can make maybe $1 a day. Your gpu will be making more for sure. As i couldn't get my gpu to start mining, I couldn't tell you how much for my card, but I've heard the new 3080's can make over $10 a day. |
