Amazon return info - Harryler100 - 09-29-2020

When you return something to amazon E.G Xbox One X. Do amazon check warranty seals ?

There are no hard and fast rules.

If they notice Inconsistencies with the packing, then that will give them reason to check the return.

It depends on the method.

For Instance, If you're using the similar Item method whereby you're returning a cheaper/replica phone for a refund, then they'll most likely check the return with the Intention to place It back In their Inventory.

I’m thinking of purchasing a iCloud locked iphone from eBay in good condition then swapping them round

Purchase an iCloud locked one off eBay. Then buy one off amazon and send it back on the bases of it being faulty idk which one will be best ideally don’t want them turning on the phone. Phone turns on fine but when you try set it up it’ll come up saying activation lock

To avoid complications, why not use the sealed box method?

Simply put, you add any Item In the box of equal weight, and seal It as per Its original state without any signs of tampering whatsoever. This will not give them reason to check the return.

When they receive It, they'll scan the box, place It back In their Inventory and Issue a refund/replacement thereafter.

So instead of putting the Iphone that’s broke back in. Put anything that’s of equal weight to it back in the box?

Feel like because of the item value they’ll check regardless. Too worried to send back nothing. Ideally wanted one in different colour but not fussed about red reckon it would be safe if I bought one in a different colour and sent back a red one ?
