Chinese Rocket Booster Crashes Near School - Oni - 09-17-2020

A Chinese rocket booster crashed and nearly hit a school. Had the trajectory been slightly different, the booster could have killed a bunch of kids. Video shows the destruction caused.

A Chinese Long March 4B rocket successfully launched a new Earth-watching satellite Monday (Sep. 7) but the booster's spent first stage narrowly missed a school when it fell back to Earth, witness videos show.

The Long March 4B rocket lifted off from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in north China, at 1:57 p.m. local time (1:57 a.m. EDT, 0557 GMT). It carried the powerful Gaofen 11 (02) Earth observation satellite, an optical observation satellite capable of returning high resolution images, showing features as smaller than 3 feet (1 meter) across.

My goodness, had It hit the school, there would've been quite a number of casualties.

Jesus. I'm sure China still considers the launch a great success. This shows how important SpaceX's work is, with reusable rockets that land ,to pinpoint accuracy, where you want them to.

You do not want to know how horribly toxic the hypergolic fuels they use in those rockets is. Unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine, in particular, was nicknamed "Devil's Venom" by Russian scientists.
