Ok I registered for this site because I'm hoping that someone can help me out with this new police scanner that I happened to come In possession of its a whistler ws 1010 it supposably needs an activation code of some sort well I don't have it so can someone please help me

Police scanners are becoming fairly useless, as more and more departments are using encryption. It is illegal (a felony) to decrypt these transmissions, and no off the shelf scanner will do so.
