fake cpu method I9 - absoluteunit - 08-26-2020

Hello,

I want to buy a i9, send back the box with a old crappy cpu (got one already that looks just like i9 from a distance). I have a couple of questions regarding this method.

First of all, anyone with CPU SE experience here, if so could you give me some input (and possibly a better method).

Second of all how will i go about opening the box without leaving tampering marks. It's the I9 10900k i am talking about.

At last, will i need a amazon account with a good reputation, or just fk it and order it? My account has zero orders but is like 2/3 months old already and i have been building up cookies and shit. I was thinking buying the ram legit since its cheap as shit nowadays. The fake cpu method seems like it doesnt require a good reputation account in my opinion, but i would love to hear it if it does need just that.

Thanks in advance everyone!

First and foremost, what's the weight of the CPU?

I have no clue what source to believe, but i think around 78 grams. One amazon site says 300 grams the other 452 grams, its ridiculous! they say item weight but mean package weight. So i guess i'll just make up the weight if my cpu seems to be too light, however i would still like to ask your take on the situation. And also i would like to know how do you find trustworthy item weight descriptions??

I'd say you're looking at both the Item (net) weight and the package (gross) weight, hence the huge variance In your search.

CPUs are extremely light, so 78 grams makes sense.
Please confirm It.

Btw i switched CPU's because 10900k box looks like a pain to tamper with, i am going for an i7 processor 10th gen. It is 87 grams i found it from 2 reliable sources not just from amazon specifications.

Btw do i need a amazon account with a good reputation, or just order it and swap the cpu?

Is one 100 euro order enough to give the account a good reputation?

Edit: the box looks like it has stickers on both the up and downside, and no other place where i could cut it open and reglue. Any fixes on this issue?

Your account Is fine.

At 87 grams, you can opt for the missing Item method. Is the CPU visible at all In Its original packaging?

No not visible at all, does missing item mean just box/no item or DNA?

Missing Item meaning you received the package without the Item.

So i should say something along the lines:

"I received the box but to my shock when i opened it up there was nothing inside!"

and if they ask if the package has tampering traces, i will say no, right?

Spot-on.

If you say It was tampered with and they have CCTV cameras In place of when It was picked, packed and dispatched, then the SE will fail. So you've done the right thing, by Intending to say that It wasn't tampered with.
