You've got to love Softpedia for their software library. It makes your search criteria for .NET apps a lot easier.

Good work.

To be honest I thought Softpedia was full of malware. Sites like it tend to be no good. And that's one of the issues with Windows. There isn't a good manager or pool of software like Linux with their package managers. That's why I always try my best to look for the original source of any Windows application.

I can assure you that Softpedia does not contain malware. They test and review each and every software prior to releasing It on their site.

I've been dealing with them for around 15 years- their files are clean.

Thanks for the timely response. I guess now I have a new source for programs.

You're very welcome.

To further support my previous post, I've got a blog that's been up and running for over 5 years with most of their software hosted, and I haven't received any negative comments to date. Though, I should mention to always look at the license type. Anything with "Ad-Supported", may Install third-party software. It's not malicious, but rather advertising material to support the developer.

Softpedia actually states this where applicable.

Other websites similar to softpedia (like softonic) are quite annoying, such as having an installer to download the installer (they also normally contain ads that, if unchecked, install other softwares). I hate practices like this.

I havent used softpedia for long though, i basically started using it (i think via @mothered talking about it), but i used to use softsea.com before, its a really old website that has rarily any apps that uses the .NET Framework. However it is where i found gems of softwares like GFIE (Greenfish Icon Editor). Other softwares like Hexacolor i have found them by going on like the 20th page of google.

I might also talk about Tetron4 / Tetron2000 by Yoki, its been a game that ive had for quite a few years

I've stopped using Softonic a while back.

Another reputable site Is MajorGeeks. It's similar to Softpedia, whereby every file Is clean and trusted.
