Return orders - csf - 08-12-2020

Hello, I didn't right plan a SE but I'm thinking about how companies check the return.
For example, I order an expensive sweat and just tell to the company I want to return my order and send a cheap sweat similar.

Do you think it's a good method or it's better if we use the wrong item ?
Because,if we say wrong item, the company will check if it's true but if we just return the sweat (and tell I received the same by my father) can be more efficient ?

So what do you think ?

If you can see the item in question after opening the shipping box then this may raise suspicion since they will notice immediately that you have not sent the correct item.
What you can do is "wrong item received" and use an item from the specific site's stock that weights the same. This can have its issues as well though as it is possible the company operates CCTV cameras where they prepare and dispatch orders.
If that is not the case then you can proceed with "boxing" them.

You can also say it is dirty or looks worn and then photoshop a nasty spot on the sweatshirt rendering it useless. They may still want the item back but you can still box then at that point.

Lastly you can also opt for DNA but this will depend on the courier and the policy of the seller/company.

Correct.

Simply purchase a stock Item (using a different account) that's significantly cheaper, and weighs roughly the same as the Item you're planning to SE. When they check and scan the return, they'll see that It's part of their Inventory, and assume that they did In fact dispatch the Incorrect Item.
