Wrong item received method Currys TV? - Rednaxela1 - 08-10-2020

How do i go about doing this? How would i know the cheaper TV i buy will fit in to the more expensive TV box? Obviously buying the same size will help, but not entirely sure how to approach this to achieve a successful outcome.

Thanks in advance.

Stating the obvious, why not DNA It?

I agree with Mothered, DNA is your best option. I doubt anyone would be stupid enough to get TVs mixed up.

This ^

The nature of the Item (TV), Is simply not suited to the wrong Item received method. The probability of a manufacturer error for an Item of Its size and weight, Is extremely unlikely.

I see your point. I think Curry's use DPD though, who are taking photos, and considering the item is large, DNA would probably fail.

TV will be very difficult to "wrong item received". If DNA won't work due to DPD may I suggest you try broken on arrival?
You can find a broken TV on a well known auction site that you want to get and then buy the same one new from Currys. You will then proceed to claim it is broken and go from there. Bear in mind you might need to swap the SNs so they receive the "same" TV as they sent you.

Keep us posted and good luck!

Thanks for the reply. Some S/N aren't on stickers so can't be removed and switched though?

There is always a workaround if you spend the time to do it properly. Depending on the situation there are different options for you to pursue.

DPD also provides their service to Amazon and ASOS, and they've been taking photos since 2015.

The question Is, are the photos taken at the front of the premises (door step) or the entryway?
Either way, It can be manipulated to your advantage.

It varies. I mean there's no harm in trying, but seems extremely unlikely to work considering it's a big expensive TV.
