advance refund amazon - sdbaobsdadsa - 07-25-2020 So i bought an item around £180 on amazon. I told the support that it was damaged and not working and had clearly been used before as it had blood on it. They started an investigation and told me to send pictures, which I did. They just issued me an advanced refund but expect me to return it. What should I do now? If i don't return it will i be recharged? They told me they are carrying a detailed internal investigation regarding this issue. I was going to tell them that i disposed of it and they have arranged for Hermes to pick it up the next day as well . . . RE: advance refund amazon - Green314 - 07-25-2020 The only idea that comes in my mind in this situation is the Box method. But it depends on from the item you've bought. Anyway listen to the suggestions of those who are more expert of me. RE: advance refund amazon - sdbaobsdadsa - 07-26-2020 well i tried to say i threw it away but the support guy wasnt budging so any ideas RE: advance refund amazon - H3RR3S - 07-26-2020 What I would try is this: Act like you are a typical angry customer and say something like: "Dear XXXX, I'm unable to send you back the package because when it arrived it had blood on it. I threw it away immediatly because this is just unacceptable and it could be dangerous for my health and those of my kids because who knows what kind of diseases could be in the blood. I am really dissapointed in Amazon, I've never experienced anything like this before with Amazon. I hope this problem will be solved as soon as possible! Kind Regards" Anyway I'm not the best in Social Engineering so I would rather take someone else's advise. RE: advance refund amazon - sdbaobsdadsa - 07-26-2020 Well i kept my story and the advisors kept disconnecting eventually one transferred me to specialist team, idk if thats good or bad. Ill get an email in 24 hours RE: advance refund amazon - mothered - 07-26-2020 Quote:So i bought an item around £180 on amazonIt's difficult to advise without knowing the nature of the Item. As with every SE, the full Item description Is of paramount Importance prior to providing assistance. For the reason mentioned In your opening post, namely the blood, the "disposed of the faulty Item method" would've worked well- particularly for health & safety purposes. I did, I spoke to like 6 different supervisors who would just disconnect when I said that I threw it away. They all said they required the item back for a refund. They didnt tell me directly that hermes is coming to pick it up but when i view the return label thats what it says. It has gone to the specialist team now, should I just keep the story going? |
