Social Engineering on Crypto - ManakaJunpei - 07-19-2020 So, me and my friend (Who I won't name for obvious reasons) Have made multiple websites (he codes) with "games" on them TL;DR they are ponzi's offering 5 or 10% of your investment back everyday We host giveaways and make whitepapers with a fake roadmap for the website, we then release the product and get thousands of dollars invested which we scoop up after a couple days, it may sound easy but manipulating 100's or even 1000's of people requires confidence and the ability to take charge I just realized this was Social Engineering as we did it naturally without thinking Thought I'd share an experience in SE that you might not see a lot. PS because it's on crypto you can easily get away with staying anonymous. Always open for questions o7 RE: Social Engineering on Crypto - mothered - 07-20-2020 (07-19-2020, 04:18 PM)ManakaJunpei Wrote: but manipulating 100's or even 1000's of people requires confidence and the ability to take chargeYou've nailed It right here ^ "Confidence" and being In "control", are two key elements that are an Integral part of every social engineering attack vector. Ultimately, they play a significant role In determining where the SE Is heading and Its outcome. I enjoyed reading your experience, thank you. |
