Currys method - InsaneAK - 07-05-2020 I’m hearing some talk and seeing some screenshots floating around of some quite big Curry’s refunds happening. I saw one earlier for about £8k. Just wondering what method people are using for Currys? They ship through DPD so can’t use DNA or EB. Also with corona, they come to your house to pickup items so can’t even FTID easily. Could it just be a simple PP claim? RE: Currys method - mothered - 07-05-2020 Quote: Just wondering what method people are using for Currys?Put simply, every method Is based on the nature of the Item. Name It, and we'll work from there. RE: Currys method - InsaneAK - 07-05-2020 So let’s break this down. DNA: they use DPD as their delivery partner who take pics of the parcel in the doorway with the door open. EB: I want to order a MacBook so the weight will register FTID: now, when you request a return DPD come to your house to collect the parcel. They check for damage on the box and then take it away. I guess you could use dry ice but the people I’ve seen doing refunds say nothing needs to be sent back to Currys to get the refund. How else could they possibly be doing this? Put simply, the objective Is to show the tracking number as delivered, but the company has no record of the package. RE: Currys method - durden666 - 07-06-2020 I suspect they utilize the wrong item received method, paired with "item not as described" on PayPal? I.e via your PayPal they say the items you received was actually someone else's order apparently, hence ",not as described". When the store requests, via PayPal, you send the items back to them, the service provider sends legit items that the same shop stocks, and are of equal weight and size to your expensive item, just really low value, then provides tracking to PayPal who should in theory automatically side with you, because "you sent the items back, and provided tracking" ? Any thoughts on this? Obviously I guess you could also send back bricks of equal weight as your initial order. As I'm assuming all PayPal requires is for you to provide a tracking number that says delivered back to the seller ? RE: Currys method - Rednaxela1 - 07-08-2020 Curry's is being raped, they will tighten this within weeks in my opinion. (07-05-2020, 11:14 AM)InsaneAK Wrote: So let’s break this down. I think this will become common practice with DPD. They will continue taking photos even after this Coronavirus situation has gone away. Though, It can be circumvented by rearranging the door and entrance to give It the appearance that It's not your premises. After the driver leaves, put everything back to normal. As such, It was (seemingly) delivered to another address.
