Direct Debit Refunds - smemberp - 07-01-2020

I've seen a few people offer direct debit refunds, and have seen pictures where the direct debit refund goes straight back into their bank account, I've seen it done with a couple thousand pounds. Does anyone know anything about this i've tried researching it but found nothing

Where did you come across this?

If It's performed via Illegal means, then It's against forum rules.

Are you talking about those phone contract refunds?

Are you talking about those phone contract refunds?
yeah among other things you can literally do any direct debit you pay/ have payed

I believe he is referring to, when purchasing a pricey item online, instead of paying the cost upfront, by either credit or debit card, you sign up for a payment plan/finance.

In which case it works the same way as normal payments. I've done this before with PayPal. Bought a £1500 but chose to pay 12 monthly installments instead. Returned it and got the money which I paid to them refunded obviously, and the rest of the payment plan just gets cancelled, as you would expect.

Yes, you're spot-on with the payment plans.

I've done It many years ago, whereby ex-amount of dollars was debited from my account each month until It equaled to the full cost of the Item. In terms of the OP, I'm trying to work out the grounds on which his/her account will have the direct debit refunded.
