Google DNA - thebullready - 06-28-2020

Thinking of going with a DNA with google store for a pixelbook go. Any advice or suggestions is appreciated.

After reading this, I don't see why I should have a problem

Missing shipments
If you don't receive your device, contact Google Store support within 14 calendar days from your expected delivery estimate.

If your device goes missing after successful delivery, Google will have fulfilled its obligation by delivering the package successfully to the location designated in your order and, therefore, will not be able to designate your package as lost or stolen. Unfortunately, Google will not be able to provide any further replacement devices or a refund for your order, and you'll need to follow up at the address to which you requested the package was delivered to address this issue.

Is the carrier accepting a signature on delivery?

The question Is, what's their definition of a "successful delivery?". As per the quote below, or otherwise? This pertains to Google, not yourself.

Quote:Google will have fulfilled its obligation by delivering the package successfully to the location designated in your order
Successfully delivering a package, by no means concludes that It was personally received/accepted.

The address Is Immaterial. It could've been left at the doorstep of the premises and stolen a few minutes later.

A package Is deemed "successfully delivered" when It's In the hands of the account holder, or a member of the household.

My thoughts exactly after reading those terms. By no means would it be deemed "successful" with the DNA approach, hence it working for this case. As far as sig goes, I'm hoping to avoid that at all costs but will certainly fake if push comes to shove. I wanted some insight from others before proceeding. Thanks for info so far!

Not that I disagree, but don't these directly contradict each other?

it seems like "successfully delivered" does mean it was actually received. i.e. if you don't contact them within 14 days, they will assume it has been "successfully delivered."

You can always give them a quick ring just to verify.

The operative word Is "successfully".

It may be delivered, but not "successfully" received by the account holder/household member, hence not "successfully delivered" to Its Intended entity. This Is the difference between a package that's marked as delivered, and one that's personally received. That's what makes the DNA so effective. For example, the package was sent, placed on the doorstep and stolen thereafter, thus deemed not successfully delivered.

In short and directed to the carrier: "How can you say you've successfully delivered the package, when I don't have It?".
This Is the foundation that formulates the DNA.
