Question About Amazon - Pumic - 06-27-2020

My legit Amazon account has 5 orders that adds up to be around $2.5k

The first order on the account was early October of 2019

I did contact Amazon once because I had a legit problem with the PC I bought (largest order which was about $1900), but I got that actually resolved.
I also had to do a legit replacement of a $20 phone case in October because the one I received was broken.

I'm wondering if any red flags or suspicion will be caused if I try to get a refund/replacement on my $200 Acer monitor, and if not, what would be the best method to go about getting either or? I don't think it would make much sense to try the didn't arrive because some time has passes since the monitor was delivered, and the carrier would definitely report that someone was home when they're contacted.

How long have you had the monitor from the time of delivery?

I went back and looked at my account again and I was wrong, my first purchase was early October last year ($20 phone case), which I had to do a legitimate replacement on because it was broken.

I've had the monitor for 12 days

When was the last purchase?

That's well within Amazon's return policy, so It's fine.

What's your objective? To claim the monitor Is defective and get a refund or replacement thereafter?

Since you have spent so much money with amazon, $200 won't be a red flag. I think you'll be fine.

As for method, well its either dna or ftid.

The last purchase was the biggest purchase and made on June 17th. Yes, I want to claim it doesn't work to get a replacement. I'm thinking about trying a double dip, getting a replacement then boxing them for a refund.

I don't think DNA would be smart because if they look at the support chat history (I assume they keep accessible logs), they'll be able to see that I clearly have items that were ordered and arrived after the delivery of the monitor. It might strike a red flag that I waited so long to contact them about it, or I'm being paranoid about it. All in all though, I'm not comfortable enough with using DNA for this SE.

What is FTID?

Was this a legit purchase and without a claim?

What's the size and weight of the monitor?

I'd say It's too big to box, and too heavy without (and probably with) a weight substitute- for example, dry Ice.

Short for "Fake Tracking ID".

A useless method that has a significant chance of failure. I'm In the process of writing an In depth guide on It's Inconsistencies In my blog. It's 75% complete.

The dimensions are: (W x H x D)-22.32 x 13.22 x 2.39 inches and it weights roughly 10lbs

I definitely won't be using FTID considering how unreliable and reckless that method sounds.

It's too big to box and with a weight of 4.5 Kg, too heavy on Its own.

Good move.

At the time of writing, I haven't come across a single post (with proof) that used the FTID and fully succeeded. This tells a lot about the method's Incapacity to serve Its purpose.

If I decide to double dip, I know I can use the DNA method for the replacement. Not quite sure what route to take on avoiding sending the first monitor back though. If it's too big to box, what is a good path to take so that I can avoid sending in the first monitor? I had thought about trying to refuse sending and claiming that it's a health risk because I have Covid-19, but I spoke to a rep who says they will still pick up the package because they have the necessary PPE.
