CPU / Processor - -Saense- - 06-23-2020

Has anyone done a CPU / Processor S.E Lately?

I'm tempted , given that i've had success with Motherboards and Ram in the past.

Amazon is out for a while, anyone tried Scan/Ebuyer/Box ? Curry's are out, purely because their customer service is awful if you have a genuine problem so probably even worse for doing an S.E

I tried FTID and it worked, also can you please share some experiences with the motherboards and ram se, or was a refund?

RE: CPU / Processor - SE.UK - 06-23-2020

im giving Currys a crack at the moment.

I'd go more mainstream retailers rather than specific pc part providers - they know what to check for etc. perhaps Argos? dont they do CPUs too?

FTID ?

The ram was simply a "hey man you sent me the wrong ram here" , so required a small purchase of some ram that was way cheaper, but bought elsewhere and one they also sold.

Yeah Ebuyer might be out because of that too , more likely to chuck a CPU into a test-bench and see what the deal is.

Let me know how curry's go. I genuinely had issues with something i bought in the past and it took 2 months to get sorted (a fridge...so not possible to S.E ... If someone can do it, I'll buy them a pint!)

Will do for sure.

RE: CPU / Processor - mothered - 06-23-2020

What's the weight and dimensions of the CPU?

Faketid or cut a small hole on the bottom of the return package to make it look stolen.

Like any CPU ? They're tiny and weigh next to nothing. But arrive in either big boxes or the case of something like the 9900K , fancy plastic hexagon.

I think what the acually CPU weigh maybe matters if your going for missing item. Simpely tell them the seal was broken when you opend and the CPU was gone, everthing else was there. Could work since the weigh is pretty much the same as if the CPU acually wasent there. But i dont know its risky ofcourse.

It depends on the weight of the CPU, namely whether It registers on the carrier's manifest.
