What does 'reship address' mean? - dismay - 06-15-2020

I bought a Logitech SE guide for about 5 dollars because I've never done SE before so I wanted to have a structure for any other business if I continue to do it.
They asked to not use your real name and address, but instead use a "redirect" or a "reshipping address" but I'm not too sure what they mean.

Their direct quote is: "Make sure you fill in your reship address and not your real address" and "Now you just gotta wait for the reship to receive your package, and then you keep it for 30 days and sell it to someone on eBay or just send it to your own address."

I think I understand the logic of what a reship address is but how do I do it? Do I need to proxy a company with a return address? I am quite confused about this.

Thanks.

Simply put, once the package has been sent by the online store, It's delivered to the reship company's warehouse and not the social engineer's address. Unless specified otherwise, the reship service will then forward It to the SE'ers address.

Quote:They asked to not use your real name
I don't see this In their direct quote.

Correct, it's somewhat like a proxy - as in the SE'd good are delivered to a different address before you receive them. You can use a reship company to ship your SE'd goods to you. You can also just use a drop address, or an address that is currently unoccupied/ has no relation to you. There are also sites like https://grabr.io/en/ with peer to peer shipping.

Typically, you only need a reship/ drop if there is a chance of getting billed for the item/ your address is blacklisted or used a lot for the same company. Getting billed is common if you are receiving an advanced replacement and never ship them faulty item back to company.

Very well said.

I've documented something very similar In my blog.
