Which products easy to scam with SN? - H3RR3S - 06-08-2020 Which products are easy to scam with the Serial Number only, without sending stuff back to the company. I did Logitech before but I heard they got harder to SE. RE: Which products easy to scam with SN? - Filament - 06-08-2020 Philips is ridiculously easy. I heard Tile is easy. JBL I was able to just tell them I sent the package back and they sent out replacement without asking for tracking number or anything. This was years ago though. Food is easy. Logitech have tightened their claims management process, and have become rather difficult to SE using the serial number method. As per @Filament's post above, I've read that Phillips are quite simple. What exactly do you mean with "ridiculously easy" will they just send a replacement right away when I say for example my philips speakers don't turn on anymore? Also what do you do when they ask for an invoice? You just send them a fake amazon invoice? Correct, for Philips, they'll ask you to troubleshoot, then for POP and serial number. Afterwards, they'll just send out a replacement. I just did them last week so I can confirm it's still easy-peasy. I just did Dell for their S2716DG monitor. It was also super easy. They just asked for serial number and date of purchase. They do advanced replacements so you'll have to use a drop. They didn't ask for any card info or anything. I usually create my invoices from Best Buy via Inspect Element. I used to use Amazon and it has worked splendidly but some companies check the order number. I'm interested in one of said dell monitors... I do not have much time to research just now as i am at work, but I would like to ask, is it the serial number they ask for, or the service tag, also how many characters is it? (will attempt to find my own serial) Unless they are the same thing. Also would you advise to register the serial number on an account on dell then contact them through the site, or shoot customer support an email? Cheers for any advice in advance! You use the service tag to get the product info and start the claim. When you're talking to the rep, they'll ask for serial number and date of purchase. I didn't bother registering it/ creating an account. My particular codes were in the format: Service: #X#XXX# Serial: XX-#XXXX#-#####-##X-##XX-X## where X is a letter and # is a number RE: Which products easy to scam with SN? - durden666 - 06-17-2020 (06-17-2020, 07:49 PM)Filament Wrote:(06-17-2020, 07:41 PM)durden666 Wrote:I went through it online via live chat since I was in a work meeting lol(06-17-2020, 07:25 PM)Filament Wrote: Correct, for Philips, they'll ask you to troubleshoot, then for POP and serial number.
