I saw this method years and years ago when it first showed up. And it does work. Really great method if you want to avoid sketchy cracked program sites.

tbh i just use 7zip, what does winrar offers that 7zip doesnt 🤔🤔

They're both much of a muchness.
I prefer WinRAR, namely for Its Interface. Been using It from the late 90s to date.
