Argos SE - prey11 - 05-04-2020
Just ordered an xbox media controller. from argos. It weighs about 59g and was wondering best way to SE it. I was thing of DNA but I think they take photos and I have an obvious security camera so they might ask for footage. on the other hand I was thinking of saying it was faulty. could anyone help?

In terms of the missing Item method, although It's well-suited to the nature of your Item, Argos are very difficult to deal with In this respect.
They have CCTV footage and will basically do anything they can to decline the claim.

Your security camera Is your property and personal use, so they have no right to request footage.

Yeah I have heard they are quite difficult to deal with. I have seen delivery drivers take photos when they deliver my items normally. With the ring contract legally any company can request for the camera footage if needed to aid in a case.

Basically, they're your cameras and footage, hence you can do as you please.
If you securely wipe all content using a low level format against the disk sectors, by skipping the file system and format directly beneath that on the underlying storage, good luck trying to recover data.

He can take as many photos as he likes, It still doesn't conclude that you've "personally received/accepted the package".
As long as you didn't sign, then you're good to go.
