iPhone Boxing Question - tonythetig3r - 04-18-2020 I acquired the serial number of an iPhone 11 and was able to request a repair from Apple with the serial number. They are sending me a box to put the phone into, and i'm planning to use the boxing method so they will think the phone was lost/stolen and send me a new one. The iPhone weighs 194 grams. Would this require dry ice to spoof the weight of the package? RE: iPhone Boxing Question - mothered - 04-18-2020 195 grams (round figures), will register a weight on the carrier's manifest, hence too heavy to box without a weight substitute. Depending on atmospheric conditions, dry Ice sublimates at a rate of 2-5 Kg every 24 hours, so take this Into account when calculating the amount to apply. Obviously, you will only need very little. RE: iPhone Boxing Question - 360929396329953295 - 04-18-2020 You need to spoof the weight somehow, dry ice can work, but if the dry ice vapor is rising out of the box, its going to look obvious. The sublimation will not be noticeable based on a weight of 190/195 grams. |
