iPhone 11 dummy - Balsoan - 04-10-2020 Hey guys. How are you doing. I hope everybody is doing great. I have a question. I was thinking of something. And that is the following. I recently got myself a Iphone 11 pro dummy. Those things stores have so you can see how it looks etc. So i was thinking would it be possible to order an iphone 11 pro open it replace the real one for the dummy then repackage it and return it? I also have the seals for the box. But my question is would they open the box if its sealed to see if i didn't do anything. The weight is rougly the same and the box is sealed so i think not, but i wanted to see if someone knows for sure? Or would it be a better idea to order the phone and then claim i got a dummy in the box instead of an real one. Just wanna hear your opinion and if its worth it or not. Quote:So i was thinking would it be possible to order an iphone 11 pro open it replace the real one for the dummy then repackage it and return it?In the event the company opens the box to Inspect the goods, they'll Instantly (and obviously) realize It's not the correct Item, hence If you're willing to take the risk, you can put "anything" that's around the same size & weight as the phone. In other words (unless you put a replica), If they're going to Inspect the contents, It makes no difference what you add as a substitute. RE: iPhone 11 dummy - Rednaxela1 - 04-10-2020 Taking the price in to consideration i would not do this. They're bound to check the item when you send it back. Like everyone else has said there's a good chance this may not work. I could see this working if you bought an Amazon warehouse phone and claimed the dummy is what you received. RE: iPhone 11 dummy - mothered - 04-11-2020 Adding to my above post, what "reason/excuse" will you be using when returning the phone? Looking at It from another perspective, the only way I could see this succeeding Is If you've sealed the box perfectly as per the manufacturer's state, AND not give the company "any reason whatsoever to check the return". As such, the method used plays a major role In determining the likelihood of the goods being Inspected. I can seal the box perfectly. And i would use something like that i changed my mind on the color or the memory something along those lines. I dont think they would open up a sealed box if the seal is perfectly on and the weight is correct. But i was not sure because it is a expensive item. But also then i dont think they would open a sealed box because it would not be new anymore in my opinion. And with they i dont mean a specific store. I did not chose a store yet. Just trying to hear if it is worth it or not. (04-10-2020, 05:54 PM)mothered Wrote:so it is a replica. I believe you've covered It well with a simple "change of mind". (04-11-2020, 09:59 AM)Balsoan Wrote: so it is a replica. It does look really good.Replica, meaning an "exact copy". In this case, not only by appearance, but also by functionality. Visually, yes, It's very close to the real thing and If they only judge It on this, then there won't be an Issue. Given It doesn't have working electronics and they decide to test It to make sure It's functional, then the SE will obviously fail. This Is provided they do open the box. |
