It's crucial to perform backups on a regular basis- on several external devices.

But yes I have started to keep backups on my USB's and spare phone which isnt used much just for digital storage lol

Be sure to store multiple backups. I've had countless USB sticks and HDDs fail- luckily I had backups of a backup.
