lolwut id - Defeat - 03-26-2020 A company is asking me for both a police report and a copy of my valid government id on top of filing a claim form for them to begin an investigation with the shipper. Lol, in what world is someone sending this? Of course, I will see on what basis they are making this outrageous demand. RE: lolwut id - mothered - 03-26-2020 In my 30+ years of SEing, I've yet to experience a request for a government ID card. If you don't mind me asking, who's the company? It'll be Interesting to determine whether their request for the ID card, Is In fact part of company protocol under certain circumstances. If not, then they're violating their very own terms. RE: lolwut id - Parliament - 03-28-2020 OnePlus was getting hit hard with DNA claims back when the 7 Pro, makes sense that they've upped their shit; however this is huge RE: lolwut id - mothered - 03-28-2020 (03-28-2020, 03:57 AM)Parliament Wrote: OnePlus was getting hit hard with DNA claims back when the 7 Pro, makes sense that they've upped their shit; however this is huge Quote:however this is hugeAgree. I'm very curious as to whether they've Implemented the change on a permanent basis, and Is now standard practice with certain claims. I've made a mental note and will observe very SE relative to OnePlus. It's either this rep is bs'ing or they've changed their policy completely. I wish I had someone else to compare to see if they end up here: Quote:however as per the procedure we will have to collect the three documents to proceed further RE: lolwut id - C8Stingray - 03-28-2020 Send them a McLovin license. Lol, in what world is someone sending this? That's odd id ask the supervisor to direct you to the page where it says this is in their policy. If all else fails edit a PSD template and send them that. RE: lolwut id - mothered - 03-28-2020 It think It's very Inappropriate to request It. A government ID card Is In fact your Identity, and apart from the government Itself and associated entities, It should not be distributed to anyone. Their request Is not justified so In a sense, It's an Invasion of privacy. |
