Tommy Hilfiger SE - BO55 - 03-25-2020

Hi, I'm not very experienced with SE'ing but I've recently purchased two jackets that go for $90 each and they're the same but different sizes. Is there a way I could say one never arrives then refund the other within thirty days? I only need one jacket.

Yes, clothing companies are always fairly easy to SE.

Moved from the Market Discussion forum, accordingly to Social Engineering.

Are they both being shipped on the same consignment?

I'm not sure because I ordered one then ordered another on the same account but not in the same basket 10 minutes apart

Based on the above, If you're Intending to use the DNA method, they must be on separate consignments.

If they're both on the same shipment, you cannot refund an Item that (as per your claim) did not arrive.

I think his idea is, to say only one jacket arrived, get the refund for the missing item. Then return the other jacked, which was delivered to him. But if the two items were ordered separately, there is a big chance they will be dispatched in two packages. He needs 2 items to use the missing item method. If i understood correctly..

Yeah, you reckon it'd work?

If that's the case, the missing Item method heavily relies on the weight of the Item.

If the weight registers on the consignment and the company cross-checks the carrier's manifest, then the SE will fail.

I agree. Even tho i had cases with missing item, when the "missing item" weighted 3 times more than the other items and i was refunded. It depends on the company along with other factors.

Yes, It depends on how the representative handles the claim, and whether an Investigation Is opened by liaising with the carrier.

When I SE, I leave nothing to chance and apply a given method to Its fullest potential against the nature of the Item.
