What are your favorite anime, based on their soundtracks?
My top 5 picks:
1. Cowboy Bebop
Watanabe's style, combined with Yoko Kanno and The Seatbelts.
Spoiler:
2. Samurai Champloo
Also Watanabe's style, but with Nujabes. Lofi.

3. FLCL
The Pillows are an awesome band and match the theme of FLCL.
Spoiler:
4. Baccano
Very unique, spanning multiple genres, similar to Bebop.
Spoiler:
5. Black Lagoon
Has a great selection of music for it's action-packed scenes.

Honestly, the ones I would have picked, you've already mentioned.
There's several individual songs I like from different shows, though many of those I like purely because I enjoy the show or they're closely linked to the themes in the show. In other words, it's not music I listen to independently from the shows. Whereas, I'd happily listen to the Bebop soundtrack any day.
