Operating a RAT while travelling - calmsenile - 03-16-2020 Hi guys Would anyone know what hardware/software I would need to operate a RAT while I'm backpacking? Obviously I would not have a home network for them to connect through and I was unable to find a tutorial on my circumstance. Cheers, RE: Operating a RAT while travelling - mothered - 03-17-2020 Please elaborate on your RAT's entire setup, Inclusive of the equipment you'll have on hand when backpacking. I'm an idiot all I need is a custom VPN that allows port forwrding right? thats how people will connect to my PC's RAT and vice versa, doesnt matter where I am RE: Operating a RAT while travelling - mothered - 03-17-2020 Quote:I would not have a home network for them to connect throughStating the obvious, Is tethering the connection via your cell phone not an option? Yes I am able to, I just figured it out I had a blank moment. All I need is a static VPN which allows port forwarding correct? Then I can sort it out? Quote:All I need is a static VPN which allows port forwarding correct?Correct. NordVPN comes standard with a "Dedicated IP" option, that's only assigned to the one account (hence "dedicated"). In terms of port forwarding, I believe you can connect Nord to OpenVPN via TCP/UDP (Port 1194). RE: Operating a RAT while travelling - prevent - 03-17-2020 What are you trying to accomplish with the rat? Just curious, In my opinion I'd buy a bulletproof server n host one. n that way you can either have http, or ssh right into the box. The original goal was to rubby ducky the hostels/hotels I stayed at via "found this in my room" after checking out. Using the data there I can direct market backpacker dropship sites under the guise of "thank you for staying with us, heres this..." Also attaching a RAT to a PDF and sending it out under the guise of "What to do to stay safe during the corona crisis" Ontop of that I'll be installing silent XMR miners on the computers. So thats the entire gameplan, feel free to steal

That game plan is insanely good, but remember apply a little of SE, and don't let any trace. good luck, by the way you can just host RAT in an custom VPS and use it via SSH RE: Operating a RAT while travelling - calmsenile - 03-17-2020 (03-17-2020, 04:21 PM)sybylroot Wrote:(03-17-2020, 04:10 PM)calmsenile Wrote:(03-17-2020, 09:47 AM)prevent Wrote: What are you trying to accomplish with the rat?
