Probably, and this is my opinion, the webmaster/admin/hacker took it too far.
Was the front end custom build or was a generic page?

t was not customized very simple page you upload your rat and you get crypted version.

It didn't take the Feds long to seize the domain.
It (the domain Itself) was only up for 4 months.
