Just ordered fiber for 23rd - Contraception - 04-07-2013 Hey guys, I've been stuck on this crappy internet for quite some time now and since I live in a town quite far away, it's taken time for us to catch up, but finally fiber is available! So far, all they promise is 40/10 but that should get better and have 80/20 available later on, engineers are coming round my house on the 23rd to install it and I am ecstatic... Tell me, DiscussionZone, what does it feel like whilst torrenting (legally of course), downloading, streaming etc? (what I currently get) Much love, Contraception. RE: Just ordered fiber for 23rd - Exiled - 04-07-2013 I live in UK and my ISP is Virgin Media Optic Fiber and our maximum speed is 30MBPS. ( but my brother some how tweaked it and made it 60MBPS ) But since I'm using cable and download a torrent with high seeds the speed will reach to 7mbps in download and 1mbps in upload speeds. It's going to be wild ride for me and my multitasking habits, I can only hope that it works out well and doesn't have intermittent speeds like my current connection (sometimes it reaches 0.5 mb/s on speedtest with 1000 ping) that has only been recently though, it may have something to do with the fiber rollout.
