Hello beauties
I'm wondering if I can still do the alienware SE (I have just gotten a service tag with pictures from an ebay seller)
Does the method work and what's the risks it could go wrong? Also another question could the seller find out or could there be an investigation?

Given the nature and namely the cost of the Item, I'd say that an Investigation will certainly be opened.
Whether they cross-check the serial against the rightful owner, remains to be seen- It's simply not possible to be definitive. To every SE'rs advantage at the time of this post, Is the busiest time of year, whereby shortcuts are taken by companies due to the Influx of orders and claims. This can significantly help the SE'er to achieve a successful outcome.

Purchase something (that only costs a few dollars) from the eBay seller that the serial number was obtained from, with the Intention to get their name and address during the transaction/shipment.
Provide the details to the company thereafter.
