Selling SE'd items - KingC33 - 12-16-2019

Hi,

I've established a method in which I can make around 1k every month through refunding/SE's consistently with Amazon.

However, I'm running in to issues when it comes to selling the SE'd item. As if I continue on the route I'm using now, which is selling on Ebay, I feel I could run in to some big issues in terms of paying tax/questions being asked about how my 'operations' on Ebay are working.

Looking for some advice on how to avoid this, how do you guys shift a lot of your SE'd stuff undetected?

Cheers

craigslist is always a good options and facebook marketplace but ebay pretty much opens you to a wider audience

$1k a month isn't enough for IRS to care about what you doing. from what i know you had to make more than $20k a year but i just doubled check and its $12k if you under the age of 65

i would create a fake paper trail and cook the books basically, show receipts from estate sales, yard sales , auctions stuff like that

google about paying taxes from ebay and see what sellers with small store are doing when it comes to filling. keep it simple

Apart from the possibility of taxation Issues, what difficulties are you currently experiencing when selling a given Item?

Thanks for that man, it was more a worry about doing it alongside a job, and if the bank would raise any questions.

Well I feel that the bank will eventually ask me some questions about income, as it's obviously going from my PayPal to my bank account, around $800-1k every month.
It has changed my financial situation fairly significantly, so was worried they may flag it up as suspicious.

Alot of people want receipts for items that are $500+, which obviously I can't give them the Amazon invoice, cause i technically never received the item. So if they checked with Amazon it would be game over.

if you're using your personal amazon i'd stop you living a paper trail, second that's not enough money for the bank to care. what you should care about is amazon investigating and pulling up bank statements that leads to ebay sales of items you supposedly never received

if you have a legit job and being paid via direct deposit banks dont care long as your legitmate source of income checks out, $1k > a month flipping items not enough for them to be on you

I doubt Amazon have the power to demand bank statements for a customer right?

RE: Selling SE'd items - trapthot - 12-17-2019

Amazon is a goliath they have the means to hire a Private investigator and put pressure on local law enforcement, they are not just customer service reps sitting behind a desk. a lot of ppl thought refunding and DNA was ok till amazon starting investigating and having ppl lead away in cuffs plenty of news reports to see for yourself

as far as amazon having the power to get bank statements jeff bozo can if he instructs his lost prevention department to but it also depends on who you bank with and what state you live as different banks have they own set of rules and some may operate on state or federal level or just dont have the means to fight a police report or care to protect your personal info

but you know who don't need permission ? the IRS so if jeff bozo decides to lets say look into your tax records and IRS investigators see something that doesn't add up the bank will hand over the records simple as that on suspicion on tax fraud, tax evasion or MONEY LAUNDERING

if you're making more than $12k a year job included you have to report it, if they find discrepancies with your past filings they may not bring it to your attention this year or next but it can come 3 year or 5 years from now. if you don't file at all that's tax evasion, they won't arrest you for this only take money and personal belongings to pay back what you owe. if you file and lie about the earning that's tax fraud that which does give jail time. if they dig deep and see you using ebay as a front while getting paid via bank they could toss on money laundering

your best bet is to put the store on vacation till you figure out how to still get what you want using a drop and burner amzon accounts, try your best to do more cash deals and lastly get a burner bank acc not linked to your personal info which you can buy off a homeless person or pay them to set one up

Your bank will not Investigate transfer of funds. I've personally hit Increments of 20k a number of times, with no questions asked.

As for the tax department, the "Interest" earned (and not the funds per se) Is considered as part of your Income, and must be Included when doing your tax return each year. As long as you submit your tax declaration annually, you'll be fine.

I've also wondered, do you earn the majority of your money through online methods, such as SE'ing + cracking, or do you have a job as well?
Something I've always wondered because you seem very knowledgeable, and through a lodes of threads, seem to earn a lot of money!
