Swap “Warehouse Deals” RTX with similar GTX - deviated - 11-04-2019

Hello! I SE’d some items (missing from box, swapped with broken, etc.) in last years but I buy shit-tons of items for my family and friend (got around 350 orders in 2019) so I’d like to try out another swap.
This time I’d like to order a Warehouse Deals’ RTX2080 Strix to swap with my GTX1060 Strix, that looks very very similar to an inexpert eye.

Out of ideas, what is best between:
1) return 1060 in 2080 box, claiming “received wrong item”
2) return 1060 in 1060 box, claiming “received wrong item”
3) return 1060 in 2080 box the same day I receive it, without giving reasons

In my opinion 1st way is the cleaner, it’s a warehouse item so must’ve been the first customers fault.

Second way shouldn’t look strange, they scanned a 1060 box instead of 2080 without getting errors?

Thank you! Smile

Option 1 is the best. Tested, works.

It’s better begin the return process in chat, or DIY from the website?
I knew that refunds/return done through an amazon rep have “less weight” on the account, if compared with DIY returns. Is it somehow true?

Without naming specifics, I work In an environment where scanning Items for dispatch Is mandatory, and errors are not possible.

When a box Is scanned, It "will" display as It's respective Item. That's provided the box & Item Is packed accordingly by the manufacturer.

Ok as I expected their scanner would reject a different barcode.
So the cleanest way is to send back the 2080 box with a 1060 inside.
And what about contacting them or not?
