RTX 2060 Super SE - Aceflow - 09-06-2019

Pretty sure someone made a similar thread but I'm not sure, apologies in advance.

So I'm thinking about getting a RTX 2060 super or a RX 5700XT, haven't really decided yet but I plan on buying it from newegg and say the wrong item was received.

I haven't used that method before so I'm just curious:

1.Do I need to buy something that weighs similar to the GPU?

2.Should I buy the wrong item on a different account or buy it from another place?

3.I assume I have to return the "wrong item" but I'm not exactly sure.

There's probably more questions but I can't exactly remember them atm. I'll keep the thread updated when I decided to do it

1. Yes
2. It's best to purchase the wrong Item from the same company, but with a completely different account. If It's scanned, It will show as part of their Inventory.
3. They will request the wrong Item be returned.

Thanks for getting back to me, got another question regarding having a complete different account.

Should I use another credit ***" for when I purchased the wrong item?

Absolutely.

Basically, to prevent linking both accounts, try and change every Identifiable detail.

Also would it be wise to use another shipping address for the wrong item? It sounds a bit silly but I'm wondering if it will raise some concern that both items are shipped to the same address.

Definitely, you'll want to order the other item to a PO box or a drop house, having the same address will link the accounts when they do an investigation as it's a fairly expensive item.

Unfortunately my only real option would be having one sent to a PO box but I'm unsure the process behind it.

I live in the UK if that helps

RE: RTX 2060 Super SE - Aceflow - 09-08-2019

Update, I got someone to help me out with a drop house and I'm just wanting to make sure I have everything in order.

The GPU (MSI RTX 2060 SUPER VENTUS OC) according to the MSI's website weighs 758 g and the package weighs 1198 g.

The power supply (RAIDMAX XT series RX-300XT 300W) weighs 1150 g according to Newegg. Newegg doesn't state if that's how the package weighs but I assume it does.

My question is that should I worry about how much the package weights or just the items?

Another question is about the return policy, both items are shipped and sold by newegg but one of them (GPU) has a Standard Return Policy and the other (PSU) has a International Return Policy. Not sure if that will play a part in the process.

Thanks in advance

When using the wrong Item received method, you're SEing the "Item" not It's packaging, hence It's the Item that's of relevance.
