Steelseries RMA Help - Tibo inc - 08-13-2019

Recently Steel Series has been stepping up the process, and it is harder now.

I have been approved for an RMA, but before they send the code I need to provide proof I destroyed the mouse.

I have sent them a few corrupted files with different endings, claiming its working for me, but now they are asking for me to upload the images and send the link.

Anyone know how I can do this? Make it look corrupted on their end somehow?

Any help is appreciated.

I am planning on giving the RMA code away to someone in the community, and if you help me with this I will gladly provide the code to you. (UK Only)

I done Steel Series (UK) quite a few times about 4 month ago for some headsets and they requested destruction proof then.

What are they requesting for destruction? Cable cut or more?

I would advice you keep the RMA code as they screen the order after you place so if the account or address dont match they may cancel it.

Thank you, the item I am attempting is a wireless mouse, and the destruction required is quite thorough!

Here is what is required along with what they sent me as an example.

Anyone have any experience with this? I have tried the usual corrupted files but this isn't doing it.

I cant imagine Steel Series accepting a corrupt image file. I'm surprised that works with any company tbh.

As a guess you could just make the image completely black and upload so its not corrupt but say this is what is being uploaded. They may ask you to send it in at that point tho.

I would maybe attempt to Photoshop the background out of the sample image so its transparent then moving the top 2 buttons and the ring piece to different locations then adding in a new background, maybe a darker surface so the shadowing inst as prominent.

Alternatively as your in the UK there is a listing live now for 2 faulty Steel Series Rival 310 for £11.99 plus £1.99 postage. Destroy on 1 as they request and use that for this and future SE's. Just Photoshop the serials you want on. Assuming this is the mouse or the different models look very similar.

Thank you, I tried the editing one, I moved some things around from the original and added my serial.

I'm not the best but hopefully it fools them.

Appreciate it, but it's probably too late, I have already sent it off and it didn't look the best Confused
