You can get out of Silver just by aim. Nova is more about more team work and map awareness but you can still out aim people.
One of the best streamers to watch is Pimp. He's a retired pro who was in Team Liquid. Now he's an analyst for pro games. A lot of his streams are informative and gives a lot of tips in chat. https://www.twitch.tv/pimpcsgo

Like with any game you just need to play more. Updating your keybinds is also a good idea. If you're comfortable, you'll get better.
I read a lot of Steam reviews on CS:GO, and now that it's a free game, Valve abandoned it. All of the players are either Russian kids, or hackers.
