Wrong item on Amazon advice? - Rednaxela1 - 06-28-2019

Thinking of doing a clothing SE using the wrong item received method, if i order an item they stock from another website and switch them, notifying Amazon i received the wrong item, do i have to remove any labels on the package of the item from the other website? Not sure if they will know it's from them. I'm meaning serial numbers, maybe numbered labels the other merchant could've put on the product if possible?

Remove any indication that it wouldn't have been fulfilled by Amazon. If another companies name is on there get rid of it, and if the serials/shipping labels are clearly readable in the pictures you take then get rid of them so they can't search the numbers on their end.
