Amazon Wrong Item Method Question - tedownyiskinm - 05-26-2019

How close to the original item does the item your sending back need to be?.

I did want to try buying the cheap Surface Go from Curry's for £369.99 then buying the Microsoft Surface Pro 6 from amazon for £899 and sending the cheap one back claiming wrong item however there is about 227g difference in weight and looking on previous threads that's way too much so i wanted to try buying a 2 in 1 laptop (any make) or a tablet that's cheap but much closer to the weight and sending that back. I assume Amazons picking system would be advanced enough to not get something so different? or am i totally wrong and Amazon will just accept it and refund me.

As a side question has anyone tried ordering something and sending back a couple of totally random items (still new in packaging) claiming wrong item so it looks as if they cocked up your order with someone else's?

The weight is the biggest factor. And also, Amazon has to stock it.

100 gram variance at the very most, and that's pushing It with companies who record the exact weight on consignment.
