First Proper Amateur Bout - dmcv18 - 05-10-2019 Got booked in for my first amateur muay thai bout, I've fought before in small scale local tournaments but this is my first time on an actual fight card getting paid to fight. I'm 6'0 and 65kgs right now and I have to hit 55kg for October. I'm wondering should I lose all fat now and cut water the week before or should I just lose it all before the fight. Any advice? Congratulations. I don't do muay Thai , I do boxing. But what I'd do is half the weight now and work out how much you can lose in water. Ultimately , ask your coach. RE: First Proper Amateur Bout - slothic - 05-10-2019 try losing fat as fast as you can before the fight so that you can get used to being a bit less weight before the fight because if you drop 5kg quickly could affect you negatively. |
